  • 1937 — Great Uncle Al Pajaczkowski & his wife Mary, started Norwest Heating, Inc.
  • 1955 — Ronald O. Cain, began working for Norwest Heating, Inc.
  • 1962 — Ronald O. Cain worked for York Detroit, and became their Service Manager
  • 1964 — Ronald O. Cain worked for the W.T. Heaney Co. And became their General Manager
  • 1967 — Al & Ron, established Norwest Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc., in Detroit, MI
  • 1973 — Norwest bought out American Refrigeration, Inc.
  • 1976 — Norwest began installing Liebert, specialized Computer Room (CRAC) systems
  • 1977 — Norwest formed a subsidiary, Norwest Engineering, Inc., for GC work
  • 1978 — Norwest formed a partnership with Mills Plumbing, Inc.
  • 1979 — Norwest bought out the T.H. Brehm Company
  • 1980 — Norwest formed a partnership with Kredo Electric, Inc.
  • 1980 — Norwest formed a partnership with Guardian Plumbing, Inc.
  • 1981 — Michael L. Cain became NEMI certified, for Norwest Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc.
  • 1984 — Michael L. Cain, became President, of the ACCA Service Manager’s Association, #636
  • 1985 — Michael L. Cain, became Chairman, Operating Engineers, HVAC Division #547
  • 1986 — Michael L. Cain helped develop & became President of MIACCA, #636 Service Division
  • 1986 — Michael L. Cain, became a Board Member of SMACNA, Sheet Metal Workers, #80
  • 1987 — Michael L. Cain, became President of MCAA, Pipefitters & Plumbers, #636 & #98
  • 1988 — Kevin L. Cain, became the Service Manager at Norwest Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc.
  • 1992 — Michael & Donna Cain reorganized, into Michigan Engineered Comfort Corporation
  • 1994 — Michael & Donna established Michigan Building Services, for GC & other trades work
  • 1996 — Michigan Engineered Comfort began installing the early Carrier Gen1 & VVT Controls
  • 2012 — Michael L. Cain, became involved with & eventually President of Non Union, MIACCA
  • 2018 — Michael L. Cain 2, did his internship with Trane / Mitsubishi, in SE Michigan
  • 2019 — Michael L. Cain 2, graduated from the HVAC program, at Ferris State University
  • 2021 — Michigan Engineered Comfort Corporation, expanded into it’s Brighton facility
  • 2023 — Michigan Engineered Comfort Corporation, became Carrier I-VU, ES Certified
